Last week after dinner, we passed Tutti Frutti and our friends asked if we wanted to grab some dessert. My boyfriend and I have never heard of this place, but we also live about 45 minutes away from Ellicott City. It was after 11 pm, but the place stays open until midnite, so we were in luck! We went inside and the place was decorated with white lanterns that came down from the ceiling, white chairs, and white tables. It looks very modern and is very clean. First, you pick the size you want from a table that has all the frozen yogurt dishes on it. Then you choose your flavor of frozen yogurt. There are four machines, each with three levers to choose your flavor of frozen yogurt. There are two flavors in each machine and the middle lever is a combination of the two. You can fill your cup with as many flavors that you want and then get some toppings. There were at least 20 different toppings: different nuts, sprinkles, all kinds of fresh fruit, mochi, and lots of candy. After you have made your creation, you place your cup on the scale and the cashier weighs it and charges you by the ounce. It's only 39 cents an ounce (the sign said 42 cents, but was crossed out and SALE! was written on top of it) and is such a steal! Other places in Baltimore charge you outrageous prices for a tiny cup of frozen yogurt and this is such a great deal. Not to mention that you get to put exactly how much of each flavor and topping you want into your own cup. You can take your frozen yogurt to go or you can enjoy it at one of the many tables. We chose to eat inside and sat at one of the cool little tables. The frozen yogurt was delicious. I got three different flavors in my cup (Death by Chocolate is excellent!) and topped it with blackberries and chocolate chips. My only wish is that there was one closer to my house!

Since my last trip to Tutti Frutti in July, I think this place is at the bottom of my list - there are lots of other fro-yo options in the area that are better. The fro-yo was just bad. It was overly icy and wasn't flavorful or tasty at all. Both the vanilla and chocolate tasted like they had been made with more water than any kind of yogurt - it reminded me of ice milk. Both flavors were missing that familiar fro-yo tang as well - it was just so bland I ended up tossing it out. On top of it - the guy behind the counter seemed more involved in socializing with his friends about their new 'water pipe' than ringing up our order. It's a shame because I liked this spot but I won't be going back again.

I tried Death by Chocolate and Raspberry. And Strawberry Banana. Too many annoying trendy hs teens but what did I expect? A yogurt place in the 'burbs on a Sunday afternoon. Yogurt was great though. And hs teens weren't really annoying, in fact they were rather sweet and definitely from the "well-behaved" variety. Just better-dressed than me and with more leisure time too.

yes, Yes, and YES! I LOVE this place! It is a bit of a drive to get too, but it has been my afternoon treat to myself on more then one occasion. The set up is this - a "serve yourself" FroYo fountain followed by a build your own toppings buffet. The price for your FroYo is calculated upon weight. I love getting a mix of the chocolate and yogurt flavors, topped with bananas, strawberries and caramel. YUM. But the choices really are endless, you can add all types of fruits, or go the sinful route and load up your treat with chopped up candy bar pieces. as i said, prices vary... but mine usually cost about 5 dollars, but i like lots of Froyo! If you are in the mood for something sweet, make the drive to tutti frutti. you wont be disappointed!
(4)Kristine L.
I love the froyo here! It's not too sweet and it's soooo refreshing. My favorite flavors are Taro and Green Tea topped with some mochi and coconut...MMMmmm... Usually, they have only have one or the other, but on a couple of occassions, I've had the pleasure of having both!!
(5)Yaka H.
I just went there today and they had the Taro-bly Delicious Flavor! In my opinion, this is the best flavor that Tutti Frutti offers. FYI- If you like Taro Bubble Tea, this is very similar in taste. *cue in heavenly harp and horn music* It was so heavenly!!!! Utterly delicious!!!!! I've been to Tutti Frutti too too many times and this is my first time encountering this flavor... I hope this flavor becomes more frequent in their rotation. Will there be a red bean/azuki, hoji green tea, or black sesame froyo flavor in the future? I've had it at other places before and would be SUPER ECSTATIC if it's available in this area.

I can have mo-mo-more mo-mo-mo-mochi?! Jaw drops and eyes light up at the prospect of eating as much of my beloved sweet pastel-colored balls of fluffy glutinous rice as I want. Happiness settles in as I pile fruity pebbles and mochi balls on top of some original, tutti frutti, and French vanilla froyo. Altogether, it looked like Kirby's Dreamland landed in my cup. The namesake flavor is... fruity. What I like about it is that the refreshing tartness is not lost with the addition of the flavor. I detected notes of pineapple, berries, punch, and citrus. Yum! Their original is tart like most other original froyos, but it's sweeter. It's also a little softer... a little runny even. I tend to like it a little colder... harder. Still, I like original flavored froyo in all forms and sizes--I don't discriminate. French vanilla tastes more like the soft-serve ice-creamy froyos. It's good, but I'm addicted to the tang of the original-types. Service is friendly and helpful. I walked in and looked at the menu, when one of the servers asked me if it was my first time there. Yes, it is, but I'm familiar with how it works I tell him. But it was nice of him to ask. The other flavors available were: strawberry-banana, cookies and cream, coffee, green tea, and death by chocolate. I was a little bummed that they weren't serving melon as part of the rotational flavors this time. Melon froyo's been one of my favorites ever since I hit up CaliYogurt in Gaithersburg. But it's all the more reason to come by here more frequently on the off chance they'll be serving it. While it's affordability doesn't hurt, I think one of the biggest advantages this place will have in comparison to the other froyo places popping up in the area is their hours: 7 days a week, 11 AM-midnight. Fuh-fuh-fwozen yogurt... wh-wh-whenever I want it? Another jaw drop.
(4)Jessica A.
I love you Tutti Frutti. So many fat free and delicious choices and sometimes there is a strawberry splenda sugar-free option as well. Lots of syrup and topping choices and tons of fresh fruit and cereals to pile into your cup. I love the Original Tart flavor with fresh berries and tons of yummy pillowy-soft mochi. If you're never had mochi, give it a try! It stays soft in your frozen yogurt and has a delicate sweet taste. We're here multiple times a week - it is a fun, bright atmosphere and full of young people. It's open late so it's a great reason to cut your bar crawl short and stop in for a late night snack.

yum
(5)Doug F.
Not quite as good as YoFresco in Las Vegas, but still OK. Avoid the baby turd flavor (green tea) -- what were they thinking?
(3)Emerica W.
Delicious frozen yogurt and amazing toppings!
(5)Jim W.
This place is awesome! We love frozen yogurt and our kids love the colorful spoons. The place is always spotlessly clean, the mix ins area is always tidy and looks fresh, and we've never been disappointed with the flavor selection. Nice little treat after a long day.
(4)Ann P.
I love TF. Their frozen yogurt is on the sweeter end. I actually like my fro-yo sweeter than tart. They have a sweeter profile than the other frozen yogurts I have tried in the area. I also feel like they use a lot of artificial flavoring?? (But I can't be sure??) I've seen them pouring a liquid formula into their machines. I was there first thing in the morning when I witnessed this. When you walk into the shop, you feel like you are walking into a urban candy land. The shop has a very playful vibe. The furniture feels like IKEA meets modern and urban graffiti art. The fro-yo assembly line is very clean. It's very clear and not at all confusing. They use fresh fruits. The mangos are cubed and they always look freshly chopped. My favorite is their yogurt chips. They almost look like white chocolate chips, so give the yogurt chips a try on your next visit!
(4)Isabelle S.
Tutti Frutti is the place to be! After we eat dinner at a restaurant around the area, our dessert is the frozen yogurt from Tutti Frutti. They are open till late at night and their frozen yogurt are awesome. They change the flavors from time to time and they have a wide variety of toppings. I especially like the red velvet, mango, and taro flavors. The ambience of the place is also awesome. It is very bright, colorful, and well-lit.
(5)Brendon T.
Of all the fro yo places, this is the best. It has the best toppings, most variety of fro yo and fresh fruit. I go out of my way to find a Tutti Frutti!
(4)JD G.
I really like this place! They have some cool flavors, they're cheap, and the staff is super friendly! Plus they are open late every night so when I'm having a froyo attack at 11:30pm, I can get my fix! My only complaint is my partner is lactose intolerant, and while they offer dairy free options randomly, it is random. This makes no sense at all and is actually a little frustrating as about half of the time we come here, my partner can't indulge and we have to go elsewhere. Please look at carrying dairy free all the time....that is the only thing holding back the last two stars!
(3)Yong K.
I really like this place for some good froyo, but the price has increased slightly over the years. they have a large variety of flavors (usually) and my favorite are pomegranate, TF tart, and taro. However, some days, the taro is a little weird. i recommend you get a sample cup and try the flavors before getting a cup. Just don't get too full on the samples haha they also have lots of toppings you can put on. MOCHI! yes. i like to stack my froyo in a donut shape in my cup so i can fill the core with mochi. the great thing is that this places closes pretty darn late, especially on the weekends! tip: go a few minutes before closing and sometimes they'll give the leftover froyo from the machines to you! BINGO
(4)Zino F.
Update: don't get the smoothie, they weigh it post ice weight and have a 1.29 blend fee so my 12oz smoothie was almost 9$, owch!!!
(5)Joe K.
Open until Midnight, this location is a rather popular meeting spot off of Route 40 in Ellicott City, mainly because of the endly amounts of racers sitting around in the parking lot. The interior is generic compared to most froyo spots, but, is clean. I recently tried the Taro flavored froyo and was pretty taken back by the flavors and freshness. Normally when I have Pinkberry I generally get a sour mouth flavoring but this wasn't happening here and it is likely the soy based products (which I now prefer a lot more). The toppings were fresh and plentiful, everything from the dessert style to basic fruits everything was good. The pricing is decent and done by weight. 4 stars.
(4)Kat F.
Was kind of forced to come here; wasn't really craving any froyo, so this may be a little biased. I tried the taro and the salted caramel with some cereal (YAY CEREAL!). I gotta say, they tasted incredibly bland. I kind of wish I tried the original, but (again) I wasn't really craving it and was forced to go. I do like their decor.....half of it is from IKEA. I know because our group had JUST come from an IKEA store. They have a lot of room, which is nice unlike many other froyo places that only have a handful of tables.
(3)Donna Y.
Original tart yogurt with almond and honey topping. Frozen yogurt is a bit icy but that only happens every now and then. Often, this place becomes a teenage hanging out spot at night and weekends which is a bit annoying but if you don't mind stuff like that then try it out!
(3)Melanie R.
If you are a teenager in Ellicott City...this is the hook up spot..apparently. I went with my 9 year old tonight after the line to Rita's was about 50 deep. It is very modern on the inside with fun colors. I saw lots of high school kids (Fri night). We both got mango since he has a peanut allergy, some of the other flavors looked a bit dangerous. Most of the flavors are well labeled and describe the mixes involved. I also twisted in a little tart flavor, which was yummy. I topped mine with some fresh fruit, which was slightly frozen. I personally liked the almost frozen fruit. Our bill was only $6 for both of us. I think this place may be cheaper than some of the competition. Well...we shall be back!
(4)Rob N.
I still dig TF for a froyo fix when I'm out in the area of Rt 40. But, I gotta knock 'em down a bit. Please keep the seating area clean and the chairs/tables/lights in decent repair. I've had to wipe or avoid too many sticky tables and seats lately. Things are starting to crack and peel.
(4)Aisha L.
This seems like just another self serve frozen yogurt place, but it's not. The yogurt is great. A lot of places have yogurt that turns to soup before you get to the car, but theirs has a perfect consistency. They have excellent favors, and the price is right also.
(4)Nicole H.
Full disclosure: This was my first froyo experience ever! I had no idea what to expect. Glad I had an expert with me to explain how the system works. Sampled a bunch of different flavours and they were all really yummy! I was a little overwhelmed by the toppings bar so just stuck with chocolate sprinkles and a squirt of caramel sauce. It was a good experience overall. Secured wi-fi available, comfy couch, high-top tables, open late
(4)Patrick S.
From the fresh fruit toppings that are constantly stocked to the fresh flavors, like green tea, this Tutti Frutti location is a real winner. The location is always quite clean and topping line stocked. I really dig the red bean topping I tried last time with the green tea. Also they seem to be open to 12 o clock, so it is a great place to get your late night fro yo fix filled.
(5)Hannah H.
We came here for some dessert. I was surprised that the Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt was delicious! It was tart and fruity with the right amount, and the texture was thicker than other frozen yogurt places I've been to. Their toppings may seem a little minimal (their Sour Patch Kids and the Gummy Worms were a little hard), but overall, the dessert was refreshing. They also serve Illy coffee. +tutti frutti frozen yogurt
(3)Dan A.
Tutti Frutti is probably one of the best froyo place in the area but it's no Pinkberry or Yogurtland. There's a good amount of different flavors. Some are very creamy (Cookies and Cream) while others are more on the tart side. The original is slightly tart but not quite Pinkberry tart. It is also a little bit creamier. Sometimes the yogurt has an icy consistency to it; you can taste and feel small ice chunks in the yogurt. There is also a toppings bar area with all the toppings you'd expect from a froyo joint. Various fruits, mochi, cereals, etc. I've noticed on more than one occasion however, that the mochi is stale and that the fruits are bad (as in they tasted really weird). The place gets really crowded at night. It may be difficult to park or find a place to sit. However, because of the increased customer traffic at those times, I've noticed that the yogurt and toppings seem to be fresher and better. Overall, this place is a good addition to Ellicott City. It gets a solid 3.5 stars.
(4)Jen C.
Fresh ingredients and tasty yogurt. However, after tasting all the other chains, their yogurt's too sweet for my liking; if it were more tart, it would be perfect.Their colored mochi is very soft and fresh! They also have pomegranate seeds, and deliciously plump/large blueberries and blackberries. Oh, and did I mention they have ginormous ramen-sized cups for your froyo? Very friendly guy at the register--added my forgotten sprinkles without taking on an additional fee.
(4)Alex S.
I used to love this place. But either because I ditched the love goggles, because this place just isn't as good as it once was, or because I've found a better place, my last visit here was mildly disappointing. Out of the ten flavors, there was only one I liked (taro), but even the taro wasn't as creamy as it normally is (icy? though not like crystallized-icy...). The rest were all fairly pedestrian flavors: good, but nothing special. The Tutti Frutti flavor didn't match the picture at all... I'm pretty sure it was peach or something. Also I was surprised that there were no seasonal flavors like the other Tutti Frutti I go to. Winter seasonal flavors are the best =(. This place does have a lot of toppings. Mochi if you're into that. Red bean paste if you're into that. But I'm into cheesecake cubes and they didn't have that. And I noticed the price went up to 42 cents from 39 cents. Dunno when this happened. But whatever it's a few cents. Anyways, I still think this place is okay and would probably go back if I'm in the area. I'm also a fan of their decor and bathroom sink faucets.
(3)Garvin C.
There are a few places on Rt 40 that sell this kind of yogurt, and I'm not sure if this is better than the others, but I can say that I like the yogurt made here, and there are plenty of toppings (some asian, such as red bean, mochi, and lichi, and american items like oreos, snickers, m&ms, etc.) available to choose from. The procedure is you go to the end of the line where all the empty bowls are. You pick one, and fill it with the desired amount of frozen yogurts you want to eat (there are multiple flavors and it is self serve). Once you have filled your bowl with yogurt, you then go to the toppings bar and put whatever toppings of your choice. your creation is then weighed, and you pay some amount for each ounce. The process is pretty quick and fun since you can customize your own yogurt. My wife really likes this place, and enjoys the original yogurt, which a slightly tart frozen yogurt. This is popular in asia, and there are drinks that taste like this.

Yay! Finally a froyo place here in MD that serves more than 4 flavors. We were on our way to Hagerstown a few weeks ago and happen to see Tutti Frutti as we drove by. We made a mental note to come back when the time comes. After coming back from CA just last nite and eating froyo there almost every nite we were there we were craving froyo and flying back to CA would have been too expensive so the hubby decided to look up Tutti Frutti and he found out that it was just like our favorite froyo place in CA,yay! So we decided to check it out today and we weren't disappointed. They had our favorite cookies n' cream and a variety of toppings including my favorite jellies. The place was full when we stopped by and it wasn't even that warm. Imagine during the summer season?!? but then again it is the only froyo place I've heard of in the area. We had to eat in our car due to the crowd but every bite was worth it. It's about time there's a self serve froyo place that only costs $.39/oz. This is definitely a come backer! Also, they're open 7 days a week till MIDNIGHT!!!!
(4)Samuel K.
Delicious frogurt! and fancy seating~
(5)Sara J.
Favorite fro yo place by far. Great decor to hang out with friends as well. Highly recommend it.
(4)Sam O.
The yogurt and toppings here are excellent! Whenever I go to other chains (Red Mango, etc...), I compare to Tutti Frutti and always end up liking Tutti Frutti better. Their taro flavor is my personal favorite. This is a great place to go get decent dessert, but is rather crowded in the evenings.
(4)Carol D.
Love the whole idea of self serve yogurt and toppings. So many choices and the fresh fruit is awesome! Careful because those cups can get heavy after filling with frozen yogurt and piling on the toppings, you pay by the ounce here. Love this place and try to go whenever I visit my daughter.
(5)Erica C.
DIY FROYO that isn't all the way in Annapolis...SCORE! They were generous about letting us sample the flavors. Many, many flavor options. The vanilla and chocolate were ehh....The taro flavor was quite good. The plain tart and raspberry were also quite tasty. I've had better tasting froyo, but the DIY aspect of this place is a winner for me. It is too fun picking different flavors and toppings. The mochi was soft and colorful! Very fun! I prefer the flavors at Fruity Yogurt in Annapolis, but the atmosphere and staff at Tutti Frutti were too cute =)
(4)Amy R.
I get to decide how much fro yo and toppings I get? I am so sold. I love tart fro yo, which is so hard to find in MD! Only wish--seating was studier. After eating a bucket, I fear for the safety of those within falling-over-distance from me--which, given the cramped interior, is everyone. Edit--Apparently they are opening a Columbia location??
(5)Ann T.
Ambiance is light and airy with mod tables and chairs. There's a lot of seating, but it didn't seem that busy when we first arrived. Pros - HAS MOCHI, great selection of toppings (including poptart pieces) and has great selection of yogurt flavors, pay by the ounce Cons - the yogurt is icy compared to other yogurt shops, but the flavor is good. Note - if you want to try out the different flavors, feel free to ask for a small sample cup from the girl at the front. I'm much more of a PinkBerry and Yogen Fruz fan in terms of flavor and texture. However, this place has been the best place I've gone to in terms of a "yogurt-by-the-ounce" spot.
(4)Courtney C.
Back again for more frozen yogurt! I wasn't as happy with their selection last night. The had standard chocolate, vanilla, tart and the rest were fruity. I prefer rich over fruity flavored frozen yogurt, but the vanilla was still very good. I also wish they would label some of their toppings. I had to guess on a few. This is consistently a delicious treat that I don't have to feel too guilty about. Its a good thing I don't live closer.
(4)David C.
One word - Awesome! I had a Living Social deal for Tutti Frutti Yogurt at this location so I decided to give it a try. Affordable Self-serve frozen yogurt with great choices makes this place awesome for me. I was able to get cups with a good sampling of the choices for $10 + tax. The mango sorbet is very good as well as the cookies and cream and red velvet yogurt. I got the vanilla and chocolate swirl topped with sprinkles. I will definitely be back to try the rest and maybe even get my mix made into a smoothie.
(4)Jessica F.
I had no idea this place was a chain until Yelp led me to it and I cannot tell you how happy I was to find out there was one (sort of) nearby. My daughter is in love with frozen yogurt and single digit temperatures be damned-she will have her frozen yogurt! So despite my constant protests and desire to hide from the wicked cold weather, I took a trip here as a special treat for her. While the flavor choices weren't quite as extensive as the Austin joint and they didn't have my cookie dough available (sad face), it was still pretty tasty. And there were sprinkles and that is all my daughter cared about anyway. I doubt I will be making that drive once a week like we used to but I am glad to know that is there.
(4)Z L.
Definitely the best deal I've gotten on very good frozen yogurt with a nice selection of different flavors and toppings (I got a decent serving for less than $5). Once you go here, you'll never return to a Pink Berry or Red Mango where you are charged per topping. Charging per ounce is the way to go! Way to go, Tutti Frutti!
(4)Mary W.
I would give this place 5 starts simply because it's the 1st self-serve froyo store in the Columbia/Ellicott City area & because they have a variety of yogurt flavors that are constantly changing! The fruit is always fresh & there are tons of candy toppings to choose from as well. Although some of my friends like the chocolate/cookies & cream flavors, I find the fruity/tart yogurt flavors more enjoyable. Green Tea, Blue berry, Tutti Frutti & mango are some of my favorite flavors! They also now have canned lychee! It's a nice balance to the tartness of the yogurt :)
(5)Christina W.
It's the only place around the Baltimore area that's self-serve!!! You decide what's the reasonable portion and the number of toppings you want. =] The interior decor is very attractive, but needs more seating. Suggestions: Green Tea, Taro, Original, Mochi, Fruits
(5)Matthew L.
For starters, not a huge froyo fan. I've always found them to be overpriced and limited selection. This is like the walmart of froyo...cheap with lots of selection They have a wonderful death by chocolate yogurt. The toppings are the usual, maybe a few more. The bonus is the pay by the ounce, serve your self method. I'll never forget the time I went with my fiance and her 3 girlfriends....36 ounces...need I say more.
(4)Julia H.
Yuck! This stuff is not good. Tastes like cardboard. The only good thing are the toppings and for the price I paid I could have bought a whole bag of mini Reese cups. After my first bite I wanted my money back. Never again. Sticking with sweet frog's, it's sooooo much better!
(1)Allison L.
I've been back several times over the past 2 months. I love it. If it were closer I'd go everyday and that would be bad so I'm glad it's in Ellicott City. I'm definitely a mochi addict now. The original tart mixed with a little bit of french vanilla, strawberry-banana and the tutti frutti flavor is the perfect combo along with kiwi, pineapple, and mango chunks and spoonful upon spoonful of mochi.
(5)Joyce K.
it's a bit of a drive, but still worth a trip. i like that there are multiple flavors (including taro, at times -- wow! what a great idea for a flavor) and even more toppings. tasty and really fun at the same time. there's enough room to sit down and enjoy with your friends while feeling like a teenager again (cutesy furniture in various bright colors and fun tunes in the background, not to mention that the clientele is chockfull of middle and highschoolers -- but not to fear, all seem welcome here.)
(4)Hetty W.
Cheap and satisfying dessert is always a plus in my book. It's similar to the Yogurtland setup (for all you West Coasters) and the pricing is actually close too! They advertise $0.37/oz during the summer which is very reasonable. The yogurt flavor selection is alright--I wish they had more fruity/tangy flavors, but their "Tutti Frutti" and original tart were pretty tasty, so I can't complain. The variety of toppings is great and they have mochi, which I think is a must for any froyo place. It beats Mr. Yogato hands down. You won't spend more than $5, I got more than I could finish for $4 total. The fruit is fresh, tons of other toppings to choose from, and cheap prices make this a great dessert place! The only downers are that it's pretty far from Baltimore, and the place can get pretty crowded some nights.
(4)Jiyong K.
This place is the best.. cuz they have awesome flavors of yogurt. Good Luck...
(5)Jess L.
I first tried Tutti Frutti a few months ago at the Rockville Towne Center location. A serve yourself, as many toppings as you want, pay by the ounce frozen yogurt place??? HUGE FAN. I tried all four flavors: Cookies and Cream, Tart Original, Dark Chocolate, and Strawberry. After that trip, I started telling everyone I knew about this awesome place. Then a friend of mine told me about the Ellicott City location having EIGHT flavors. Not only that, they have an additional cup size and twice as many toppings. Mochi? Lychee? Crushed Heath bars? Cookies and Cream + Mochi... Looks like I know where I'm going this weekend.
(5)Max L.
darn good. ive been to quite a few yogurt places and i must say tutti frutti is probably my favorite. they usually have at least five different flavors of yogurt as well has dozens of toppings, all of which are self serve. my favorites are taro (which they should have more often) and cookies and cream. summer pricing is 39 cents an ounce, so i can expect to pay around 4 dollars for a good sized serving. dont forget to get your free froyo card stamped!
(5)Anne B.
This place is always extremely busy. But all of the toppings are usually full and the area is cleaned up. You have to ask for a sample cup which always embarrasses me, but there are usually like 8-10 flavors. Overall, I am always pleased with the variety and go here anytime I am looking for a cold treat.
(4)Maria M.
Self served froyo is the way to go =) We've gone here loads of times and they always have different flavors. Original, Tutti Frutti, Death by Chocolate, and French Vanilla are the mainstays, but today they had green tea, coffee, mango sorbet, blueberry and... I forgot the other ones. Anyways, if you can't decide which flavor to pick, ask for a samples cup and they'll give you these little tiny cups so you can try the individual flavors. The coffee was spot on, but I didn't get it because I didn't want to stay up all night (just in case there was caffeine in this froyo). I always get the original tart. A lot of people say this is sweeter than other froyo stores, so if you want something a bit more tart, try the Tutti Frutti flavor. It's more tart than the original tart that they have. My go to topping are the tiny little gelatins. There's sour apple (green), mango (yellow), strawberry (pink), and I'm not sure what the white ones are, but I imagine it's almond? Anyways, the fruits are fresh and they have sweet toppings too - like fudge, reese's, m&ms, snickers. The mochi are different colored tiny cubes which are so soft and chewy and a hint of sweetness. Soooo good. I guess I'm only giving it 4 stars because the yogurtland we went to in California had a lot more flavors. Otherwise, this place is definitely worth going to. so try it out people! It's worth it =)
(4)Laura A.
Fresh kiwi, captain crunch, mochi pieces, red bean or taro yogurt. xoxo.
(5)Andrew K.
Frozen yogurt is popping up everywhere in md now and this place is great. You can pick between several flavors and make your own cup of different flavors and add your own toppings. You pay by the ounce and it's a good deal. I got a big cup of tutti flavor and original tart flavor and added different fruits and mochi and it came out to about $6. I will definitely be coming back here again and again.
(4)Charlotte B.
Adore it! I love that you can serve yourself a reasonable portion, pick out all the toppings (as much or as little) as you want, and pay by the weight. Love it, love it, love it! Had tiny cubes of brownies on mine, along with lots of fruit. Very attractive interior as well, just a refreshing place to be.
(5)Bryan L.
I'm a big fan of frozen yogurt but not a big fan of this place. I don't like the self service. I get the same size as I always do but it always comes out more expensive than the places that serve u. The flavors were off as welL won't be bacK

Do it yourself froyo! Tutti Frutti is a self serve froyo bar with toppings like strawberries, blueberries, frutti pebbles . . . get the point. You serve your own froyo, pick your toppings, and weigh to pay. I love the cheesecake topping mixed with the chocolate. I've noticed that they haven't had chocolate around for awhile though. I went in last night and it was packed. I hope this concept really picks up because it would be nice if they had a location a little closer to where I live.

This Is Literally My Fav Dessert Spot! I Love Love Love Tutti Frutti! Hummm, I Was Never A Serious Frozen Yogurt Fan Until I Found Them, It Is A Bit Of A Ride From My House But I Take It At Least Once A Week To Get My Mango Chocolate Yogurt Topped With Bananas & Strawberries! & They Are Open Till Like Midnight Which Is Great, Because I Typically Don't Have To Worry About Them Being Closed When I'm In The Mood. Overall, Just A Wonderful Experience Everytime!

I love this place! They always have a good variety of flavors and tons of toppings to choose from! Price isn't too bad. I always try to stop by for a treat whenever I'm in the area. Wonderful and charming little yogurt shoppe. They're open late too. Great for an after-dinner treat, especially when the weather gets warm. I will warn you though, it can get really crowded if there's nice weather, but that just means you can enjoy your yogurt outside. No harm in that!

So, lots of people have been telling me to go to tutti frutti for a little while now and I finally went...and boy was it worth it! AMAZING. Not only is it self-serve which makes me giddy like a kid in a candy store even though I'm an adult now, but it has eight flavors a day! It has the original tangy but it also has non-tangy flavors for those that aren't into the tangy, trendy stuff. The best part is, since it's self-serve you can mix and match! The first time I went I mixed orange sorbet and french vanilla for a creamsicle like effect. Absolute HEAVEN. They also always have mochi which is my fave, and it's multicolored! Totally has nothing to do with taste but it's just awesome. I don't have enough good things to say, I love it, this will definitely be a staple in my diet this summer :)

what more can be said about this place? Its frozen yogurt! Good self serve frozen goodness. My number one combination: original tart, kiwi, strawberries, mangoes, mochi, gummy bears, and caramel swirl....droolz.... Don't forget to stamp your card, get 10 and the 11th one is free!

I love this place! It's close and convient after a meal at Honey Pig. I like the flavors they have and their selection of toppings is nice. It doesn't beat my all time favorite Fro-yo place, but it's not bad. I much prefer this location over the Columbia one.

Stumbled upon this place sort of by accident. In the middle of the night, I thought it was Rita's from the outside with the green, white, and red striped banner. On the inside though it has really nice, bright decor, lights and chairs. Definitely what a good froyo setting should look like. I got the large blue cup, and 5 flavors--green tea, tutti frutti, blueberry, french vanilla and one more but i forgot :( They also have many toppings here that other self-serve froyo places I've been to don't have, like red bean paste, gelatin things, pomegranate seeds, etc. I was so excited that they had green tea because it's one of my favorite flavors in the world, and it tasted a lot like Starbuck's green tea frap except not as milky. Also, the red bean paste was actually really good with froyo. The tutti frutti flavor was pretty good as well. And considering the amount I got (about 19 oz), it was less than $10, which is a really good deal compared to some places. yay for good cheap froyo!

the only type of frozen yogurt shop (self-serve) in the whole baltimore metropolitan area. sad, but at least there is tutti frutti. prices are usually 42 cents an ounce, but are 37 cents an ounce for the springtime. however, they should make sure they're calibrating their scale. sometimes i really do wonder whether i actually do grab a POUND of frozen yogurt+ toppings.

It was ok. I'm just not sure why it would deserve 4 or 5 stars. It's soft serve frozen yoghurt that you top yourself and pay for by the ounce. The furniture is hard white plastic, very uncomfortable, and very slippery.

I love this place, toppings are always fresh and the yogurt is great.

Out of all the different monotoned yogurt shops that have been popping up in this area, Tutti Fruiti is the best. They have multiple favors and all sorts of toppings. Since its a self serve yogurt shop, you can make as little or as much as you want. Once you get to the register, they weigh your creation and off you go with one of their colorful spoons. I was really suprised at how much less Tutti Fruitti costs compared to Yogi Berry or some of the other less than fantastic shops. A medium sized yogurt with a not so conservative serving of toppings never costs me more than $5 bucks. If I were to get the same at another shop, it would for sure cost more and even close to the $10 range.

Meh ... only 6-8 run of the mill flavors? Ice cream truck has more selection. Yogurt was more on the icey side. Isnt it supposed to be creamy? Fresh fruit topping is always good, and the mochi was nice and chewy. 3 stars for limited flavors and parking. Certainly no P**berry or Y**LAND.

Best frozen yogurt in the area!

Tutti Frutti's frozen yogurt is so exciting that I ate the entire cup before I remembered to take a photo. I have been blogging for two years. Many of my meals start with my wife cringing and me balancing a cell phone camera on a water glass as I learned from the Pizzablogger. But I started spooning frozen yogurt as soon as my butt hit the shiny modern bar stool at Tutti Frutti, and I slurped up three flavors of yogurt and three toppings without breaking stride. That's the cool part about Tutti Frutti. Amid all the tart yogurt options like Mangoberry in Catonsville and Yogiberry in Columbia, Tutti Frutti stands alone because you make your own mix. You pay by ounce, and you take your bowl along a run of eight yogurt machines -- from chocolate to green tea to kiwi to the original tart -- and then dozens of toppings. The bowls are enormous. We took the smallest, left them half-filled, and still had huge desserts that cost us about $5-6. Tutti Frutti sells good yogurt. It's a touch grainier than the other options, but I liked the texture. Tutti Frutti also sells great toppings. I love mochi, and their variety is soft and chewy. There was also some kind of firm, candy-colored topping -- maybe a gelatin? I thought that was great, and I was passing up a dozen fruits, all kinds of candy, and some squeeze bottles with sweet sauce that I didn't even try to identify. You could spend all summer trying out variations. You'll have fun if you do. I'm a fan of Tutti Frutti's cool modern design. On a Saturday night, it was packed with people at 10 pm with a buzzing, city energy. I'm also a fan of pay-by-the-ounce. I gasped watching teenagers fill small buckets and then pay more than $10 for dessert. But, hey, you can take normal-sized servings, and I loved being able to sample. Three flavors of yogurt in my cup. Three kinds of toppings -- mochi, that gelatin, and mango. At most other stores, you pay $1 or more per topping, and you're getting a handful for your money. Consider having fried chicken at Rainpia and then coming here for dessert.

We've been to 3/4 of these fro-yo style places on route 40 and it's by far the best. The quality and variety of yogurts are good. The toppings are fresh, clean, and more numerous than the other places. Ambiance is nice, hip, and busy! Plenty of seating and also cheaper by the ounce. Favs include green tea, plain tart, and cheesecake.

I am a big fan of froyo places where you pay by weight. The freedom with my dessert is great: my first visit there, I had half mango and half cookies & cream, with my toppings corresponding to those halves (fresh fruit like strawberries on the mango half, candy and cookie bits on the cookies & cream half). It was delicious. Also, the decor is really chic and simple. I don't go very often since I'm a college now, but I am definitely planning on visiting often this summer.

This so far is the only froyo place in MD that I can say that's comparable to the froyo places in the west coast. I'll be back. Summer pricing right now, so 39 cents per oz. instead of 42 cents.
